cassiaduma wondrous reccomendation from RYM. reminds me of the reason why most love car seat headrest, even though i don't: there's some damn catchy chord progressions and melodies here, and the lo-fi aesthetic is super charming here by virtue of being a live recording of a band who are very clearly having fun even with some sadder songs. highly recommended, hope to god they come back or even drop a full-length at some point! Favorite track: Don't Look Back.

Cinema 05:39
CINEMA when i press into your mouth through your eyes sewn your tongue wrapping tightly around the teeth of frozen alones sounds around, around, around, around your retinal blindspots can’t seem to ever connect any of the dots dark and unattended leaves the head to wrap inside you it wasn’t the best year trying to find out why they won’t talk to you for six, one, three, two minutes, blank voices ring your ears makes it hard to try and find what’s never disappeared never said i wouldn’t try and see it around studying the street and waiting patiently but something must break grey, uncomplicated rooms of dark, peaking hollow dull christmas lights shot in modern, new-age, cinematic views of what you're doing as of summers long ago the places that seem distant are all you've ever really known never said you weren't going 'lost but never found' [ ] said to never let them go, cue our mothers leaving separated further than the most, it’s gone too far losing light, guess it’s time to thank your lucky stars and drive fast darker on the highway, roads start flooding grey with snow the places that seem closest are the longest drive home

DON'T GO TO COLLEGE please don't go to college it’s all coming too fast tracing memories on the hill and breaking through on the dead grass pretty, won't you tell me where's the part where the curtain falls? where we drown in your velvet where i can feel like it was nothing at all i kiss your lips, you punch me hard then hold me closer in your arms the window shade reflects no blue they're not closed but i can't see through you you make me feel ashamed you make me feel nothing you make me feel like i've never been closer you you draw it from your sleep i've been told you don't have dreams what kind of world are you waking up into? inside the closing scene it all looks the same invitational, the modern exists as an empty frame oh... stepping out and keep living in the past there's nothing but ocean out here and you don’t look better through the glass you you make me feel ashamed you make me feel nothing you make me feel like i've never been closer you you draw it from your sleep i've been told you don't have dreams what kind of afterlife will make you?

No Care 04:22
NO CARE no one asks me for dances because I only know how to flail i always hit like i'm drowning, dead arms around him i'd rather stand still hold tightly to the walls no care, no care in the world no care, no care in the world i don't care, i don't care anymore i don't care, i don't care love in a panic because I prefer to sit on fences spit-kissing on my sickbed i'm not searching for replacements but we all look like broken instruments twisted up and wheezing out the wrong notes sleepless folks watching light grow through their early morning windows i don't care, i don't care anymore i don't care, i don't care i'm too drunk to fight, hurling curses at your surface because i'm aware, because it hurts that i'm in love again and you have kissed my neck so your arguments are insane fighting over the way something was said while i'm still here like a cheap threat no care, no care in the world no care, no care in the world i don't care, i don't care anymore i don't care, i don't care there has only been one time where we fucked and i felt like a bad memory like my spine was a reminder of her and you said that you felt sick i was so heavy hearted, lying silent with you afterwards how i wanted you to promise we would only make how i wanted you to promise we would only make how i wanted you to promise we would only make love but my mouth felt like I was choking broken glass so i just slept it off you see, my mouth felt like it could talk the end of us so i just slept it off, slept it off no care, no care in the world no care, no care i don't care, i don't care anymore i don't care, i don't care i'm too drunk to fight i only wanted you to promise me we would only ever make love but my mouth felt like it could talk the end of us so i just slept it off wanted you to promise me we would only ever make wanted you to promise me we would only ever make love

DON'T LOOK BACK PART 1: a gray palindromic loss again creeps through my pink tinted vision black sky and a roaring wind tears full force through her dress and i love you so much but surely we won’t get a big ending house turns to sepia and raises above the ground spinning don’t know how it will be over or if we’ll get to see it supine and dry in gabriel park forty days left in the end you wouldn’t know it if it hit you in the back of the head soft eyed girl holds your fingers on the winding ahead autumn is crackling down and i’m holding my breath street slants into the sea i don’t know which direction sit on your car and feel the breeze feel the warmth of the sun sinking PART 2: “and don’t look behind you, there’s nothing there” running for the hills, she sweared, she sweared if there’s no point in coming back lie against the tracks, pulled you from the tracks is there no voice to reply? as i stretch across the sky, no more room to hide did you see what’s coming or did you just assume the worst? a drought in thirst PART 3: i will let it go i will let it go i will let it go
